From the back of the book
The midnight refusal
A corner on Kent Avenue, around midnight. We had been out for hours, and Franki had decided we were finished walking. He sat down on the pavement and would not move, and I filmed it because it was funny.
Fifteen seconds. Forty million people have watched it since. It is the reason anyone outside my apartment ever knew who he was.
Franki was born on February 14, 2020, the only puppy in his litter, and died on March 28, 2025 in someone else’s care while I was on the other side of the world. The book is what I did with the year that followed.
Estimated to ship December 2026.
Or watch it where it lives, on TikTok or Instagram. He is @frankiandfreddi on both.
